Hays is looking for a Java Backend software Engineer for one of our client in Esch-sur-Alzette.

• Freelance contract or permanent contract via a payrolling company
• Daily rate between 500 and 550€
• Annual gross salary between 80 000€and 90 000€
• English fluent is mandatory

Main misssions :

• You’ll join a collaborative software engineering team where DevOps practices, code reviews, and continuous improvement are part of the daily routine. It’s a space where technical excellence is expected—and supported.
• You’ll translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, giving you the opportunity to shape features from concept to deployment.
• You’ll design and implement HOOP (Highly Object-Oriented Programming) services, taking full ownership of their architecture, development, and documentation.
• You’ll work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance across the stack.
• You’ll build Cloud Native solutions on AWS (and other platforms), deepening your expertise in scalable, modern cloud architectures.
• You’ll integrate third-party tools to enhance functionality and streamline development—no need to reinvent the wheel.
• You’ll modernize applications using containerization technologies, contributing to more efficient, portable, and reliable deployments.
• You’ll be involved in writing tests and managing the release process, ensuring that quality and stability are never compromised.
• You’ll troubleshoot and resolve bugs, with the support of a team that values clean, maintainable code.
• You’ll contribute to maintaining environments and evolving our infrastructure, gaining hands-on experience with real-world DevOps challenges.
• You’ll take ownership of the quality and delivery of your solutions, with the autonomy to make meaningful technical decisions.
• You’ll share your knowledge and mentor others, in a culture that values continuous learning and collective growth.
• You’ll help shape our technical roadmap and contribute to our tech radar, influencing the direction of our engineering practices.
• You’ll actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, playing a key role in driving agile delivery and team alignment.

Your profile :

• Strong experience as a backend developer
• Experience in OO development and design patterns.
• Experience in designing, building and monitoring RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud and application platforms
• Experience in unit and integration testing.
• Working experience in Agile / Scrum / DevOps teams.
