Our client is a famous European Institution located in Kirchberg (Luxembourg). They are looking for an Operational risk management officer M/F for an assignment of 2 months (possibility to extend until 12 months).
Contribute to the development and maintenance of an Operational Risk Management Framework, including the Bank Group Operational Risk Policy, the Group Non-Financial Risk Appetite Framework and risk indicators and the operational risk capital management framework, in order to reinforce and enhance the second line of defence in this area, and spearhead the operational risk culture within the organisation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Framework, Policy & Methodology Development • Contribute to the enhancement of the Bank Group’s operational risk management framework, including policies, methodologies, procedures, and guidelines. Risk Identification, Monitoring & Challenge • Support the analysis and follow up of operational incidents, ensuring risk mitigating actions Data & Systems Management • Data management: Maintain and further develop the operational risk event database within the Governance, Risk and Compliance tool, HOPEX, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability of risk information. • Data governance: Support in updating and maintaining a data dictionary for the GRC tool as well as other data governance related documentation • Analyse data structures, sources and transformations to identify data quality issues, root causes and improvement opportunities. • Support Bank Group services in the use of the HOPEX tool for operational risk event management. • Contribute to ongoing enhancements of the GRC tool, including regression testing, UAT and identification of improvement proposals, • Support the development of reporting outputs in PowerBI and excel. Reporting & Capital Requirements • Contribute to the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) by supporting the development, refinement and execution of the operational risk capital calculations ensuring methodological consistency and remediation of model validation gaps within the capital calculation model (SAP BO) • Serve as the Business Objects expert for operational risk unit, including design, optimisation, troubleshooting and performance improvements. • Identify and implement opportunities to automate, streamline and standardise operational risk reporting processes.
BACKGROUND • • University degree, preferably in Economics, Banking, Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics and/or Statistics • Minimum 3 years’ of relevant professional experience, preferably in operational risk management, project management, audit and/or risk and controls. • In depth knowledge of SAP BO, as a developer • Strong understanding of databases, data models and SQL • Knowledge of PowerBI, as a report creator • Basic understanding of Operational Risk regulations and best practices • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. • Proven ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality outputs under time pressure. • Project management experience is seen as an advantage • Team player with good interpersonal skills; • Good analytical skills, ability to communicate with clarity and concision; propose solutions and express them in a clear manner; • Excellent knowledge of English and/or French and a good command of the other. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage
