Our client, a top 5 Global freight forwarding company, is looking for their future Ocean Freight Manager for their office in Luxembourg.
You execute the ocean freight strategy, provide ocean freight expertise, and monitor all ocean freight related activities performed at country level to effectively manage the end-to-end ocean freight process.

You ensure optimization of ocean freight transactional operations in line with customer requirements to deliver a cost/effective execution.

You optimize structure and associated productivity within the ocean freight division.
You achieve agreed profit targets for the division.

You grow and enhance the overall Oceanfreight product line and service offering, to increase
company market share and contribute to the delivery of the growth strategy of the business, taking cognizance of opportunities and market conditions.

You ensure high levels of service delivery through the provision of technical advice and support to operations management in respect of the service/ product life cycle.

You are accountable for improving leadership, management and operational capacity and capability for quality performance and behaviour.
You lead the oceanfreight through coaching, developing and motivation while
managing performance against targets and objectives aligned with overall company strategy.
In order to succeed in the role, you have an extensive knowledge of the oceanfreight industry.
You have 10 years’ experience in the oceanfreight industry and at least 5 in a management position.

You have a clear track record of operational management and processes within the Oceanfreight industry with a particular emphasis on hub structure forwarding and clearing.
You have strong strategic management skills and experience and you have an outstanding problem analysis and solving.
You have strong processes and systems implementation skills.
