IT Project Management Officer (m/f)

Hays Technology is looking for one of his client in the financial sector their future “IT Project Manager”.

As a Project Manager , you will lead and contribute in the establishment of the IT’s Project Governance Framework having a structured approach to govern the IT Project’s Portfolio as well as the Projects assigned under direct Management. Be responsible for day-to-day Management of IT Project’s Portfolio being competent in either overseeing or managing the six aspects of a project, i.e. scope, schedule, costs, risk, quality and resources. Collaborate with peers in IT Governance unit in regards to matters and tasks related to its function and operations. Cultivating good relationships with peers within IT, suppliers and internal/external colleagues and partners in achieving the targeted objectives.

Your responsibilities will be to :

PMO & Project Management (Lead and/or Contribute):
• IT Project’s Portfolio Governance Structure and Management
• Management Reports & Reporting
• Resource Capacity Planning
• IT Service Management Processes
• IT strategy
• Project Life Cycle (scope to deliverables and post implementation)
• Pro cost-benefit analysis
• Projects’ RACI
• Projects’ resources (budget, human, technical resources etc)
• Compatibility and consistency with existing architectural and enterprise standards
• Manage the risks, identify mitigation actions, reuse of lessons Lerned
• Committed deliverables
• PDCA
• Presentation to the IT Steering Committee

IT Governance & PMO (Lead and/or Contribute):
• Financial Management
• Manage spending (investments & expenses) in cooperation with the Accounting Department
• Define and review regularly the investments budget (e.g. projects, hardware, software)
• Define and review regularly the operating expenses budget (e.g. data lines, software maintenance)

Supplier Management:
• Manage contractors / outsourcers for projects or tasks
• Contribute in Organization’s procurement process for any purchases and supplier selection
• Manage contractual aspect related to projects
• Validate IT related invoices associated to IT Projects portfolio or/ projects under its capacity

Your profile :

• University bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Economics or similar/relevant area
• At least 9 years of experience in Project Management and PMO
• At least 9 years of experience in Banking environments
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies and frameworks (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum)
• Good knowledge of banking products, systems and workflows
• Proven leadership qualities such as conflict/issue resolution
• Ability to work with intra-departmental teams with alternate experience and expertise
• Ability to foster collaboration and best practice exchange across projects
• Strong presentation skills (i.e. MS Power Point)
• Experience with task management and wiki-based documentation tools
• Experience in building complex reports based on KPIs
• Experience using spreadsheet tools (i.e. MS Excel)
• Ability to document complex topics concisely and comprehensible
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent English language skills (verbal and written)
