Our client is a leading global asset management firm with over 200 years of history and a presence across six continents. Known for its commitment to innovation, sustainable performance, and inclusion, the company’s Luxembourg office serves as a key regional hub for financial oversight of its European operations.

The Role / Responsibilities

To strengthen its Financial Control team based in Luxembourg, our client is seeking a Financial Controller. Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, Europe, you will be responsible for the financial oversight of several EMEA-based asset management subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring accurate accounting under IFRS and Local GAAP;
Managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings;
Reviewing and challenging revenue and cost structures in collaboration with Finance Operations;
Supporting the preparation and review of regulatory returns (capital, liquidity);
Assisting with tax filings (direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing compliance);
Preparing statutory accounts, dividend proposals, and board reports;
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Risk, Treasury, Tax, and Regulatory;
Identifying and implementing process improvements.

The Ideal Profile

Qualified accountant with solid experience in IFRS and Local GAAP;
Strong communication skills and experience engaging with senior stakeholders;
Fluent in English (French or German is a plus);
Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a plus;
Analytical mindset with a focus on process efficiency and control;
Experience in statutory accounts production or audit is essential; regulatory reporting experience is a plus;
Knowledge of international tax compliance and the asset management industry is advantageous;
Willingness to travel occasionally;
A proactive, organized, and collaborative team player with leadership potential.
