On behalf of a leading European institution, we are currently seeking an Eligibility Services Officer to join a specialised unit responsible for monitoring and ensuring the compliance of financial operations. This is a temporary assignment offering the opportunity to work in a highly structured, international environment at the heart of European financial programmes supporting the real economy.
Your responsibilities :
In this role, you will support the team in the execution of eligibility monitoring activities, primarily through desk-based analysis of financial operations and documentation. You will be responsible for assessing whether transactions comply with predefined eligibility criteria and operational frameworks, as well as contributing to the preparation of detailed monitoring reports and supporting documentation.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders within the unit and liaise regularly with external financial intermediaries, including banks and partners involved in the implementation of financial instruments. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, as well as the ability to interpret contractual and regulatory documentation within the context of European financial programmes.
Your profile :
We are looking for a professional with a university degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business Administration, or a related field, combined with at least five years of relevant experience in audit, risk, compliance, monitoring, or advisory functions. Experience gained within a financial institution, consulting firm, or European body would be particularly valuable.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills and is comfortable working with complex data and documentation. A good understanding of financial products and regulatory frameworks is expected, and exposure to EU financial instruments, guarantee schemes, or SME financing programmes would be considered a strong advantage. You should be able to read and interpret legal and contractual documents with confidence and show a genuine interest in European mandates, State Aid rules, and ESG-related topics.
Beyond technical expertise, you are recognised for your reliability, sense of accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured manner. You thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, and approach your work with integrity and professionalism. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of additional European languages will be considered an asset.
Why apply :
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a prestigious European institution and contribute to impactful financial programmes supporting SMEs and economic development across Europe. The role offers a dynamic and international working environment, as well as the chance to further develop your expertise in financial monitoring and compliance.
