Main Mission
The consultant will support a financial institution in interpreting, preparing, and structuring its Prudential Transition Plan (PTP) in line with regulatory expectations. The mission includes alignment with the EBA Guidelines on ESG Risk Management, the CRD VI requirements applicable from 2026, and supervisory best practices. The objective is to assess the institution’s readiness, identify regulatory gaps, and establish the foundational pillars of a structured, coherent, and risk-focused transition process.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct a strategic ESG and prudential maturity assessment.
• Perform a gap analysis against EBA PTP and ESG Risk Management guidelines.
• Develop the PTP framework, including structure, narrative, and essential components.
• Set up the governance framework, define responsibilities, and coordinate across teams (Three Lines of Defense).
• Select and define a prioritized list of ESG metrics.
• Contribute to internal client communication and engagement activities.
• Identify quick wins to accelerate compliance and implementation progress.
• Develop a detailed roadmap for 2026 and subsequent phases.
• Prepare a Supervisory Readiness Pack for regulatory authorities.
• Produce a final synthesis report consolidating all deliverables.
Required Skills & Experience
Area of Expertise
• ESG and sustainability within the financial sector.
• Prudential regulation: CRD VI, EBA ESG risk guidelines, supervisory expectations (SREP).
Education
• Higher education in finance, risk management, economics, sustainability/ESG, or related fields.
Languages
• Fluency in English is essential.
• French is considered an asset.
