Our client, the European Investment Fund (EIF), is looking for an experienced Interim Operations Officer to join its Investment Office on a temporary assignment. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth execution of investment activities that support access to finance for SMEs and small mid-caps across Europe.

As part of the Operations Management Unit, you will play a key role in supporting process automation, improving data quality, and coordinating operational workflows across departments.

Key Responsibilities

You will assist in the digitalisation of application processes for guarantees, equity, and mandates, helping to map manual workflows and support the rollout of new tools. You will also contribute to the development of dashboards and reporting tools, working closely with internal stakeholders to consolidate business requirements.

In addition, you will manage operational data inputs and updates, ensure compliance with investment mandates, and support backlog resolution. Coordination with other departments such as Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Finance will be essential to ensure smooth operational processing and audit readiness.

Profile & Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Finance, Economics, IT, or a related field, and has 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience. You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Power BI. Experience in banking, asset management, private equity, or portfolio guarantees is a strong asset. Familiarity with tools such as Alteryx, eFront, Tableau, or Business Objects is considered an advantage.Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
