3621-1 Back Office Analyst

Our client is a famous European institution based in Kirchberg in Luxembourg. They are looking for a Back office analyst for a temporary assignement of 2 months with possibility of extension until maximum 1 year.

The interim will execute key processes of various complexities:
- Daily reconciliation tasks on cash and securities balances and movements Resolution of relative discrepancies
- Swift messages management of several types in both MT and MX format
- Preparation, analysis and distribution of financial reports to several teams
- Processing of fees and claims
- Intraday management of positions on cash accounts and resolution of potential liquidity gaps.
- Improvement and fine-tuning of operations and procedures
- Ownership of issues resolution in coordination and collaboration with other Teams and Units
- Participation in ad-hoc projects, IT upgrades and configurations, audit requests etc.

- Candidate will work in a team of 10 persons.
- Candidate will have permanent interactions within other teams in the bank and frequent external contacts (counterparties, …)
- Candidate should be flexible to work primarily in the bank premises. In addition, the candidate should be flexible in relation to working hour’s arrangements (e.g. shifts).

Qualifications
The person should preferably have banking and financial services’ industry knowledge, IT competencies, analytical skills, appetite to stay abreast of market developments and regulatory changes, project management skills, ability to meet deadlines, knowledge of best banking practices, team spirit.

- At least 3 years of experience in a financial services / banking environment.
- University degree preferably in a business related field Economics, Finance, Accounting, Sciences, Law, etc.
- Additional relevant postgraduate studies or professional qualification in finance is considered as an advantage
- Very good knowledge of English and a good command of French

Key technical/professional knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of Swift Alliance, Excel macros & pivot tables, VBA, PowerPoint, Accurate, FK-TRM are considered as an advantage
