A European institution is seeking a Transaction Analyst for a temporary contract to join its Commercial Banks division, supporting the front office team for debt products. Role Overview
Reporting to senior members of the front office team, the Transaction Analyst will play a key role in supporting the origination, execution, and monitoring of
portfolio guarantee transactions. The role also involves enhancing data tools and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the origination and execution of portfolio guarantee transactions, including risk assessment, approval processes, and post-signature monitoring.
- Maintain and enhance data analytics tools, supporting the team with portfolio composition analysis, data management, automation, and reporting.
- Identify trends and anomalies in data to support business insights and strategic decisions.
- Design and implement data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support for special projects and initiatives.
Your Profile
- University degree (Master’s preferred) in Finance, Economics, Law, Business Administration, Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in investment, credit risk, guarantees, or data analysis.
- Proven experience in data analytics, ideally within the SME lending sector.
- Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
