Headquartered in San Francisco, our client also has reporting and administrative activities in Europe and an office in Luxembourg. The European team is composed of small team of seasoned professionals in the fields of tax, legal, finance, investment, and reporting.

Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to grow its European team. The offices are located in Luxembourg city. The candidate primarily assists the Finance Manager and the Financial Controller in organizing and processing all financial information to update and maintain financial information systems.
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join their finance team as a Finance Assistant.
In this role, the candidate is responsible for collecting, inputting, organizing, and storing financial documents from various sources, managing invoices' payment, and updating financial performance tools. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of professional experience in an accounting or a similar role in the banking or fund administration industry. The candidate has a strong interest in numbers and financial metrics, exceptional organizational skills, a solid work ethic, and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes and records .

The candidate is in charge of updating and inputting financial information to maintain financial performance tools and databases. He collects, files, stores, organises and archives documents (both physically and digitally) from diverse sources (email, postmail, online portals…). He processes and manages the payment of invoices in a timely and accurate manner. He collaborates and shares documents with team members, external accountants, and auditors to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information. He assists in preparing financial reports as needed. He assists in ESG and carbon footprint workstreams. He contributes to the continuous improvement and efficiency of financial and operational processes.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. He has 1-2 years of professional experience in finance. Prior experience in financial reporting teams in banking or fund administration sectors is a plus. He has a strong interest in numbers and financial metrics. He has an exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. He has strong organizational skills and the ability to manage diverse sources of information. He is proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint. He has a real interest in financial reporting tools and software. He is proficient in both French and English and is required to ensure effective communication with our diverse stakeholders.
The candidate has a strong work ethic and focusses on continual improvement. He is a team player with a strong partnership orientation and collaborative style. He demonstrates high integrity, strong communication skills, and transparency. He is adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. He is able to handle multiple challenges simultaneously. He is an honest, open-minded, engaging self-starter who thrives in a small team environment.
